Stashed: Pureology ShineMax Shining Hair Smoother

Pureology ShineMax Shining Hair Smoother

In relation to the Pureology Event that I attended around 4 months ago, here’s something that I’ve stashed until then. ;)

One thing that piques my interest greatly about Pureology is that they claim that their products are 100% vegan—meaning, it’s animal-free and mostly made of organic ingredients. So, I kept this bottle of Pureology ShineMax Shining Smoother for future use, since I didn’t have my hair coloured then.

Just recently, I had my haircut and cellophane treatment—after almost a year of keeping it long, dry and totally unkempt! My hair is tinged with a hint of brown, which is only made visible when hit by any light source (which exactly what a hair cellophane does :P ). Finally, there’s a great reason to make use of this leave-in shine serum, and put it to a test as well. :)

The product promises to control frizz and smoothen flyaways, whilst keeping the hair shiny. In addition, Pureology’s AntiFade Complex, which is present in all of their products, keeps the hair colour radiant and makes it long-lasting. What’s more interesting about this product is that it has a zero-alcohol formulation, which won’t dry or aggravate sensitive scalps. Its consistency reminds me of Citre Shine Anti-Frizz Serum, which is a tad watery.

Now, this leaves me curious should it actually give my hair off that perfect shine without looking too greasy, whilst control those stubborn tutyangs and frizzes from having a life of their own! :D I hope it’d also make my hair more manageable, too. :)

Price: around $18

Inside that Pink Pouch is a Charm Luxe Mini Kabuki

Charm Luxe Mini Kabuki Brush - Pouch

Thanks to Beautynomics, I got ahold of a new teensy friend stored in this uber-cutesy lil pink pouch. 🙂

Charm Luxe Mini Kabuki Brush - Brush

This Charm Luxe Mini Kabuki Brush is such a stunner!

Holding the small kabuki brush

Oh, look! It’s a mini kabuki brush by Charm. Honestly, I’m not well-versed nor well-informed and well-equipped with brushes. But anyways, I’ve been an owner of a Youngblood Large Kabuki Brush for quite a while. I love kabuki brushes especially when applying mineral foundation. They pick up just-right amounts (ample, most of the time 😉 ) of foundation, and they glide easily on the skin with their uber-soft hair bristles.  My Youngblood is made of goat hair. 🙂

Going back, this Charm Luxe Mini Kabuki Brush will be its little sister. It’s made of synthetic hair that’s really, really soft to touch! I’m so in-love this charmer’s softness and smallness, which is very much ideal for travel.  I haven’t tried using the brush yet for makeup application, perhaps saving it for a very special occasion! 😀 I tried it brushing against my skin, on the other hand, and I can really attest to its uber-softness that won’t make you think you’re actually using a brush.

You can get one only from Beauty and Minerals’ online store. For a price of only Php 300, it’s quite a steal. 😉
