Something New: Kerastase Chroma Sensitive Cleansing Balm.

Kerastase Chroma Sensitive

I was extremely excited as soon as it arrived at my very doorstep (coz this is the first package that did not require me to ask and pick it up from the guard LOL). Who wouldn’t be? It’s Kerastase after all–one of the best hair care brands I’ve ever tried! šŸ˜€

I’m a sucker for pretty packaging, so I took a quick snap of it as soon as I brought it with me to my room. Much to my surprise, I got my dream product inside!

Ta-dah! Kerastase Chroma Sensitive Cleansing Balm šŸ˜€

I’ve been searching for the “right” product as soon as I got my hair coloured and highlighted a month ago. My old hair colour turned out to be a disaster, so I asked for Basement Salon‘s hairstylist, Roli Paraoan, to help me with my hair woes. I’m so glad that he did a great job with my hair colour, that’s why I’ve been trying my very best to preserve its pristine condition. šŸ˜›

So I guess, here’s my answer. I’m destined to be with Kerastase Chroma Sensitive. It has hair cleansing and colour preserving properties that can be used alternatively with my everyday shampoo (+ masque).Ā  It’s sulfate, paraben and silicone free, which makes it one of the gentlest products in the Kerastase line.

Here’s what it says about the product: (more…)

Something New: L’Oreal Revitalift White Day Cream SPF18.

L'Oreal Revitalift Day Cream SPF 18

My mom has loved L’Oreal Revitalift ever since I let her try the Double Lifting Cream for the face, and I’m sure she’s gonna be excited as soon as she finds out this new addition to the Revitalift line–L’Oreal Revitalift White Day Cream with SPF 18.

This is L’Oreal’s first anti-aging product with whitening benefits. It claims to target wrinkles and firmness while prevents skin darkening and age spots. Thanks to its Pro-Retinol A which stimulates cell renewal to reduce wrinkles, and Vitamin B3 that inhibits the melanin transfer to cells correcting and fighting against dark spots.

What’sĀ  actually amazing with this skin care product is that it’s fortified with SPF18 which protects the skin from harmful UV rays.

Skin is moisturized immediately, leaving a smooth and brighter, more luminous complexion. After 4 weeks, it claims that you can already see a huge glowing difference into your skin.

I took a pea size of this pearly smooth cream, and it easily melts into the skin upon application without the sticky or greasy feel.

My mom claims that Revitalift works for her. It really moisturizes her skin, leaving a radiant glow to it. Well, how can I question her with the way she looks (she’s currently in her mid-40s)?

Muji Zakuro and Cherry Body Soap

blog 042

When MUJI opened its flagship store in the Philippines, I got so excited that I dropped by a few weeks after its opening. I love MUJI’s style in terms of packaging and not branding things for a simple, minimalistic feel. This liquid body soap was one of the first few thingies that I bought there.

MUJI Zakuro & Cherry Body Soap has this sweet cherry smell that reminds me of Japanese cherry blossoms (then, I just thought about what happened in Japan which saddens me šŸ™ ). Going back, the scent is not overpowering, but it certainly is addictive, making it by everyday body soap. Unlike other body washes,Ā  this one’s easily rinsed off. So, it doesn’t leave a slimy, sticky and soapy feel thereafter. It’s perfect for someone like me who’s always in a rush and doesn’t want to stay long in the shower. šŸ˜›

Price is at 19 SGD/595 PHP. You can get it at MUJI stores in Bonifacio High Street or in Rockwell in the Philippines, or in ION Orchard in Singapore .
