Sony VAIO presented Design Fusion and Visions & Trends last Saturday at the SMX Convention Centre in Manila as part of the recently concluded Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2011. The show featured talented and dynamic fashion designers flaunting their collections in stylish grandeur. I’m so honoured to be a part of the Philippine Fashion Week this year, even just for a day’s event. 🙂
I dragged along an artist friend of mine, I, for the night’s fashionable affair.
Designers present were Bo Parcon, Don Protasio, Russel Villafuerte, Veejay Floresca, Xernan Orticio, Aries Lagat, Enrico Carado, Happy Andrada, Jaki Peñalosa, Jan Garcia, Kenneth Chua, Regine Dulay and Oz Go. The collections were mostly contemporary—from having a futuristic feel (think Lady Gaga or Star Trek) to having a classic/traditional touch (think Buddhist Monks, Burlesque Queens or the Byzantine Empire). I will make separate posts dedicated to each of the designers’ collections.
Of course, Sony showcased their ever stylish and colourful laptops with its wide array of C and S series VAIO laptops. When it comes to stylish and aesthetically-pleasing laptops, it’s either Mac or Sony that comes first to my list. 😉
