It’s been a while since I bought a pair of shoes, so I recently got myself a quaint pair of these PAEZ lovelies.

Made in Argentina, PAEZ is mainly inspired by the Alpargata (or commonly known as Espadrilles), which is a kind of shoes donned by South American gauchos.

I’m in dire need of comfy footwear since I love to do lots of walking. I was supposed to get a pair of TOMS months ago, but the colours I wanted were out-of-stock. Lately, I even find it hard to pass by a store, so my craving for TOMS slowly dwindled until it disappeared.

Tried my first PAEZ pair, and they’re absolutely comfortable! I’m actually surprised coz new shoes are quite a pain to use for the first time—as per my own experience. It gets more and more comfortable after prolonged use. The fur insoles keep my footsies warm whilst the rest of me is freezing inside the office.

Last Friday, I went to Merrell Barefoot launch, since barefoot running piqued my curiosity.

So what’s all the fuss about barefoot running? Well, it’s the same thing as your old textbook says so about running, except that runners don minimalist “barely there” shoes or nothing at all! I felt like salivating upon seeing this majestic Melissa Ultragirl flats in purple, which pretty much spells like an “apparition”! I know, I shouldn’t be craving like this when my pairs of Aldos are collecting cobwebs in their boxes. LOL

Melissa recently partnered up with Brazilian fashion designer Alexandre Herchcovitch to design this lovely printed pair of the former’s Ultragirl flat shoes. I seriously don’t know Mr. Herchcovitch, until I checked out this site. Going back, what I love about these shoes is their lovely geometric patterns as well as the mixing and matching of colours with it. I’m thinking of getting them in purple, although they’re also available in blue which is much easier to pair up with an outfit. More on this link.

Dear Lord, save me from this madness! I think this one has been available for quite a while, but the always late-in-the-news me has just recently found it. Who doesn’t know this quaint story penned by Antoine de Saint-Exupery? Anyhoos, I’m loving them in red, which reminds me of Dorothy and her pair of ruby red slippers—well, in a much simpler and less scintillating piece. On the other hand, I also want the black one. A pair costs Php 3,395.00 at Melissa’s online store, in which my pocket says, “you can only get one!”.

So here I am, still befuddled on what to get between the 2 (or 3) this Christmas. Maybe get both (all)? We’ll see!

It’s a funky twist to the quaint, so-last-season oxford heels in shades of brown. I immediately fell in love with this pair the moment I laid my eyes upon it. I’m digging the vintage feel of these leather shoes. In addition, the stacked heels will help me keep from falling, since I’m not a “high-heel” person. :p

I haven’t had a nice pair of rubber shoes for ages. I had a couple or three before during my college years, but disposed them already (well, I actually handed down one to my younger cousin).

Ever since I vowed myself to exercise, I started shopping for sportswear. The first thing that came to my mind was getting a new pair of rubber shoes. Some of my friends love jogging, so I might as well join them on the fun run. And so, without further ado, I got this cutesy pair of Nike Training Shoes after months of pondering whether to get one or not!

I opted getting one with a neutral hue, since it’s easier to pair it with other colors. I’m not really much of a rubber shoe person to boot.

Right now, I’m also practicing Bikram Yoga. I love Nike dri-FIT ‘coz it’s really, really comfortable even if you sweat buckets. It lets your body breathe, and keeps it cool even under warm temperatures. And so, I recently got 2 pairs of Nike dri-FIT pants, in addition to a pair of pants and top stashed inside my closet.

On the other hand, I also got myself some Nike dri-FIT socks to keep my footsies dry after hours of jogging.

*Look ma, it’s not Havaianas! Let me share to you a secret: I destroyed four pairs already, and I don’t have any plans of destroying some more pairs in the future. So, I got something from Ipanema instead (thinking I could destroy something new), and I promise you they don’t look like your ordinary iridescent floral-printed flip-flops*

*A stunning pair of black Ipanema wedge step-ins. Save the broken promise I made earlier, ‘coz they obviously don’t look like flip-flops at all. The lovely floral print accent does justice nonetheless! It’s really, really an a-dorable pair!*

*The wedge ain’t that high, which perfectly suits my ambling walking stance. The oh-so-gorgeous white and yellow floral prints on the wedge pair won me over. It’s visible from side to back. The best part is, it’s really, really comfy to wear throughout the day ( btw, I’m wearing them right now )*

I super love it! These slides go well with my beachwear since it’s tinged in classic black.

The only thing I don’t like about it is that they [Shoe Salon] placed them in the wrong box, which is why the middle straps are bowed on the left side.
