Oz Go concluded the night’s show with his Holiday 2011 collection entitled With Every Heartbeat. I’m not really sure where did he get the title, but I’m thinking it may be from one of Swedish singer Robyn’s track (yours truly is a self-confessed audiophile
).
He said that “his collection references the very fierce and experimental fashionphile,” which is pretty evident by the dynamic use of out-of-the-box geometrical 3D silhouettes and other structural patterns. His selection of pieces is predominantly tinged in monochromatic hues, with the use of fabrics such as cotton, satin, twill and denier.
When the first garb popped out, I smelled “biker chick” on it. There loomed a different vibe when the following pieces came out which are somewhat minimalistic yet outlandish and futuristic. For the most part, they look kinda costume-y to me. On the other hand, each sartorial piece looks like it’s neatly done with precision as I didn’t find anything shoddy or unfitting. I like the pants with embossed polygonal details really nice in particular. I’m also digging the boots. The long black gown for his finale seems like origami-inspired.
