Review: Artistry Anti-Wrinkle Firming Serum

Artistry Intensive Skincare Anti-Wrinkle Firming Serum - Box

Remember the Artistry launch I attended more than a month ago? Here’s something that I got — a 30ml tube of Artistry Intensive Skincare Anti-Wrinkle Firming Serum.

Artistry Anti-Wrinkle Firming Serum claims to eliminate fine lines and wrinkles, and revive collagen and elasticity of the skin. It contains high-potency Retinol, a well-known anti-aging ingredient, that repairs damaged collagen and skin cells rebuilding skin’s elasticity and firmness. Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) inhibitors control the amount of retinol, and deliver it to specific skin receptor sites where it can be most effective to intensively boost collagen. Moreover, it has Peptides and Vitamin C which also help in replenishing collagen and elastin; whilst Green Tea, Licorice, Apple, Seaweed and Allantoin prevent the stinging sensation that is usually associated with retinol.

To sum up, it promises firmer, smoother and younger-looking skin. You can notice the difference in as early as two weeks! Suitable for all skin types.

Artistry Intensive Skincare Anti-Wrinkle Firming Serum - Tube

Artistry Intensive Skincare Anti-Wrinkle Firming Serum is enclosed in a specially designed tube that keeps the retinol stable.

I’m worried about wrinkles or fine lines, since I don’t have any at the moment. Nevertheless, I’ve still given this anti-aging product a try. After all, prevention is better than cure. ;-)

To use: apply a suitable amount (pea size will do) to the entire face every night, alternatively during the first two weeks. It can be then used as a daily skincare product, or only during the evening after cleansing your face. It’s also recommended to use a sunscreen during the course of using it.

I’ve been using it religiously for more than a month already (before bedtime), and here are my insights. :-)

Sturdy Packaging, Cone-shaped Nozzle

It may not be the fanciest or most whimsical skincare packaging I’ve seen, but I love its sturdiness and portability. I also love the cone-shaped nozzle tip, allowing me to get the right amount of serum without over-spilling it.

Lightweight Feeling, Suits Acne-Prone Skin

Artistry Intensive Skincare Anti-Wrinkle Firming Serum - actual serum

A little goes a long way :-)

The serum comes in a lightweight, yellowish shade that’s easily absorbed by the skin. It doesn’t leave a heavy feeling after, which is common for most serums. Fortunately, it works well with my oily, acne-prone skin. I’m happy to say that it didn’t make my skin purge at all, nor burn or over-dry my skin! :-D

Also, a little goes a long way. I simply use a pea-sized amount to cover my entire face. Even if it’s indicated that it would only last for eight weeks, I still have enough serum to last for around a month or two in addition. :-P

Skin Is Softer, Helps Control Breakouts

Best of all, it really has helped control my breakouts. I was breaking out badly during the past few months, and  I really love that it has worked well with Benzac or Panoxyl (Benzoyl Peroxide cream/gel) in order to keep the zits at bay.

I cannot vouch if it has helped in plumping out wrinkles or fine lines, yet it has successfully made my skin feel softer and smoother. Apart from the itsy bitsy whiteheads that brew sparingly, I’ve noticed that the roughness of my skin has diminished! :-D

It’s been my go-to product for a month, and I’m overly satisfied with the results. The smell isn’t bad, too! ;-)

The price is somewhat steep at Php 5,850 per 30ml tube, but I can attest that it’s really worth it. :-)

Hi,

Just want to share, this product is good, yes, you can get the retinol-based product cheaper price but believe me, dryness, flakiness badly happens because it does not have the EGFR complex that counteract the side effect of retinol, but this product when applied to the skin does not make my skin feeling dry nor flaky..good product I would say!
