I received this wonderful package from NIVEA containing a purple satin box.

With The Royal Power of Q10 etched on it, I immediately thought it had something to do with Kate Middleton, now Duchess Catherine of Cambridge. I remember one time reading an online article before, where one of Kate’s beauty secrets was revealed — a £5 NIVEA Visage Pure and Natural Moisturising Day Cream.

As also reported by the Irish People newspaper, Kate was spotted shopping at a Boots store hours prior to her official royal engagement with now-husband Prince William.

And there she was, buying a tub of Pure & Natural moisturising day cream. Nina Swift of People UK quoted Kate’s friend saying, “Kate is not someone who believes in spending a lot of money automatically guarantees quality. She has never been afraid of a bargain. NIVEA Visage Day Cream is now a real favourite with her. She’s been buying it for some time.”

Furthermore, her friend revealed that “she’s also quite a fan of NIVEA Visage Anti-Wrinkle Q10 Plus Night Cream” via IBID.

Seems like this would be one of the reasons why the duchess looks effortlessly elegant. The camera loves her indeed!

Last summer, NIVEA Visage introduced their Sparkling White Range. It’s a matter of time to share this to you, especially now that summertime is over (which means tan lines and bronzers  are slowly taking a backseat) and some of us are conscious on getting their fair skin tone back!

I think most of us Asians desire of having a radiantly fair skin like we see on those poreless flawless South Korean or Japanese actors. Being copper-skinned doesn’t equate to being less desirable, mind you. I guess, skin colour is a matter of one’s own preference.

NIVEA Visage Sparkling White Range claims to help achieve such results; that is, keeping your skin fair and glowing no matter what skin type you have. Most products are formulated for all skin types, except for some that are specially dedicated to either oily, dry or ageing skin types.

Each product contains White Crystallites that naturally reflect micro pigments to achieve outer fairness. White Pure Actives (a combination of Dioic Acid and natural lightening ingredient Licorice) regulate melanin production, supporting the skin lightening process from the inside whilst reducing the appearance of dark spots. ‘Twas around 10 in the morning, which felt like 4am to me due to my varying time zones and a busted body clock. I still felt so sleepy and groggy despite of being knocked down for about an hour or two. The hopeless insomniac (oftentimes hypersomniac) me refused to go back to bed nevertheless, since I’d be heading off to a press launch after that 1 second sojourn to dreamland.

I might have been all knackered up, but I resolved to dressing a bit more than the usual and donning some makeup on to hide my overt drowsiness.
